Indian History
The first records of Indian history trace back to the great 5000 year old Indus Valley Civilization. The History of India shows its abundance in natural wealth has lured a succession of traders and foreigner to travel and invade India, Each leaving their imprint on the country.

The Mauryan dynasty was founded in 323 BC by Chandragupta Maurya. In southern India, the Chola, Pandya and Chera dynasties flourished. The Gupta dynasty strengthened India and trade with Europe began on a major scale. The Chalukyas and the Pallavas established dominion in south India. Islam found its way into India in the 8th century AD when Muslim conquerors came to the country and settled down.
Mughals established a mighty empire in India and the monuments of that era are still virtually intact.
They were followed by the British who ruled India for 347 Years. India represents diversity in all its forms: people, religions, customs and traditions, clothes, dialects and habits. Gateway of India - Located on the waterfront in Apollo Bunder area in South Mumbai, the Gateway is a basalt arch 26 metres (85 ft) high. The Gateway of India was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Bombay, prior to the Delhi Durbar, in December 1911.

India Gate - is the national monument of India. It is one of the largest war memorials in India. Situated in the heart of New Delhi, India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.

Red Fort In Delhi - complex constructed by the Mughal emperor Shahjahan in the walled city of Old Delhi. The British used it as a military camp until India was made independent in 1947.

Rajasthan literally meaning "Land of the Kings", is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Northern India. Jammu and Kashmir is the northernmost state of India. Jammu is noted for its scenic landscape, ancient temples, Hindu shrines, castles, gardens, and forts. The Hindu holy shrines of Amarnath and Vaishno Devi attract tens of thousands of Hindu devotees every year.

Kerala is a state on the tropical Malabar Coast of southwestern India. Kerala is generally referred to as a tropical paradise of waving palms and wide sandy beaches. The chief tourist destinations in Kerala include Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kovalam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Munnar, Palakkad, Alappuzha, Kollam, Kannur, Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Sabrimalai etc. The state is also full of national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, churches, ancient Indian architecture and other tourist spots like museums, forts and excursion sites.

Madhya Pradesh is called the "Heart of India" because of its location in the centre of the country. It has been home to the cultural heritage of Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism. Erotic temples of Khajuraho, Gwalior Fort - Man Mandir, Teli-ka-Mandir, Sas-Bahu temples and Gujari Mahal, all lie within the fort and are well worth a visit. Bandhavgarh Park, Kanha National Park, Karera Bird Sanctuary, Mandu, Panna and Pench National Park, Shivpuri National Park and Chitrakut.

Maharashtra boasts of a large number of popular and revered religious venues that are heavily frequented by locals as well as out-of-state visitors. Ajanta Caves, Ellora Caves and Victoria Terminus are the three UNESCO World Heritage sites in Maharashtra and are highly responsible for the development of Tourism in the state.

Sikkim It is the least populous state in India. Sikkim is geographically diverse due to its location in the Himalayas. Sikkim is a popular tourist destination owing to its culture, scenic beauty. Sikkim is the passage of the Buddhist saint Guru Rinpoche visited the land in the 8th century. The Guru is reported to have blessed the land, introduced Buddhism in Sikkim, Some of the Places to Visit Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary, and the Kanchenjunga National Park. Sikkim offers a wide range of adventure sport, including mountaineering in the Himalayas. Mountain biking is very popular in north and west Sikkim these days. And Jorethang is a popular locale for gliding.

Tamil Nadu lies in the southern Indian peninsula, on the shores of the Bay of Bengal. Many great rulers including the Cholas, Pallavas, Pandyas and the Vijayanagara Empire ruled over parts of Tamil Nadu. The state is known for its cultural heritage and temple architecture. Some of the place to visit Parthsarthy Temple,Santhome Cathedral, Kapaleeshwar Temple, Marina Beach, Fort St. George, Snake Park, Mahabalipuram, Kanchipuram, Tirupati is the abode of the legendary Lord of the Seven Hills. Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple or Meenakshi Amman Temple- Madurai - The `Temple City’ was the capital of the Pandya kingdom but it was during the reign of the Nayaks (10th to the 18th century) that the magnificent Meenakshi Temple and other buildings were constructed. It has 33 million sculptures. Chidambaram Temple - is a sprawling ancient temple renowned for its architecture encompassing the complete pose sequences of the classical South Indian Bharat Natyam dance; from which originated the revived dance in its present popular form.

Holy Places In India

Mathura & Vrindavan - India Located in uttar Pradesh on the west bank of river Yamuna, mathura and vrindavan has been a center for Hinduism since it is said to be the birth place of Lord Krishna.

Ganges Holiest River - India Is one of the major rivers of the Indian subcontinent, flowing east through the Gangetic Plain of northern India into Bangladesh. It has been considered a holy river by Hindus and worshiped as the goddess Ganga in Hinduism. It has also been important historically: many provincial and imperial capitals (such as Patliputra, Kannauj, Kara, Allahabad, Murshidabad, and Calcutta) have been located on its banks.

Tirumala Venkateswara Temple (Tirupathi Balaji) - India Famous Hindu Temple of Lord Venkateswara located in the hill town Tirumala of Andhra Pradesh. Lord Venkateswara, is also known by other names – Tirupathi Balaji or Srinivasa.

Dwarka – India Is one of India's seven sacred cities. Visit to which for the Hindu denotes eternal happiness. These are Ayodhya , Benaras, Mathura, Gaya, Kanchipuram, Ujjain and Dwaravati, nowadays known as Dwarka.

Varanasi – India The Indian city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh is said to be the most holy city in Hinduism. It is considered by many to be the most sacred place of pilgrimage for Hindus irrespective of denomination.

Golden Temple – India Harmandir Sahib, or Darbar Sahib (also known as the Golden Temple), is culturally the most important shrine in Sikhism. Located in Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is one of the oldest Sikh gurdwaras. It is located in the city of Amritsar.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra - India Mt. Kailash is claimed to be the apex of Hindu religious axis and it is one of the highest mountain in Tibet at 6712mts & Mansarovar Lake at 4556.76mts above sea level said to be the highest fresh water lake in the world, a difficult region to reach with variable and extreme weather condition.

Amarnath Piligrimage Yatra - India The Amarnath caves are one of the most famous shrines in Hinduism, dedicated to the god Shiva, located in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The shrine is claimed to be over 5,000 years old and forms an important part of ancient Hindu mythology.

Vaishnodevi is 61 km from Jammu, Popularly 'Jai Mata Di' (Hail, Holy Mother).

RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK
Ranthambore National Park is one of the biggest and most renowned national park in Northern India. The park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, which is about 130 km from Jaipur. Being considered as one of the famous and former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, today the Ranthambore National Park terrain is major wildlife tourist attraction spot that has pulled the attention of many wildlife photographers and lovers in this destination.

CORBETT NATIONAL PARK
Jim Corbett National Park—named after the hunter turned conservationist Jim Corbett who played a key role in its establishment—is the oldest national park in India. The park was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park. Situated in Nainital district of Uttarakhand.

KANHA NATIONAL PARK
Kanha National Park is a national park and a Tiger Reserve in the Mandla and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh, India. In the 1930s, Kanha area was divided into two sanctuaries, Hallon and Banjar, of 250 and 300 km² each.
