Day 01 :
NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Darjeeling (98 kms / 3 hrs)
Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport & transfer to Darjeeling (6,710 ft.). On arrival Check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 02 :
Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Ropeway and Japanese Temple. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 03 :
Darjeeling – Gangtok (115 kms / 4 hrs)
After breakfast proceeds to picturesque drive to Gangtok (5,480 ft.). On arrival Check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 04 :
Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
(In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing.)

Day 05 :
Gangtok – Lachung (116 kms / 6 hrs)
After breakfast pick up from hotel & transfer to Lachung (8,800 ft.). Enroute visit Singhik View point, Seven Sister Water Fall, Naga Water Fall, and arrive Lachung by evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 06 :
Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion
After breakfast drive to Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft. known as Valley of Flowers). On the way back, visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort for lunch. Overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 07 :
Lachung – Gangtok (116 kms / 6 hrs)
After breakfast departure for Gangtok, enroute witness the wonderful Bheema & Twin water falls. On arrival at Gangtok check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 08 :
Gangtok – Pelling (120 kms / 5 hrs) via Chardham
After breakfast start for Pelling (6,100 ft.). Enroute visit Temi Tea Garden, Samdruptse & Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham) in Namchi. On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Pelling.

Day 09 :
Pelling Sightseeing
After breakfast start for full day sightseeing. 1st Half tour - Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Sewaro Rock Garden, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls. In afternoon start for 2nd Half tour - Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, New Halipad Ground. Overnight stay at Pelling.

GANGTOK :
Gangtok is the capital city of Sikkim, the second smallest state of India. Famous for its monasteries, and picturesque views of the Himalayas, Gangtok is among the important hill station of the country. In Gangtok offers smooth blend of both tradition and modernity. Located 1547 m above sea level, Gangtok has some important Buddhist religious sites as well. The unspoilt natural beauty, peaceful Chortens or Stupas, and old monasteries make it a truly unique travelling experience Visiting Banzakhri Falls, Handicraft Centre, Flower show, Dro-dul Chorten & Institute of Tibetology (maximum 3-4 hours). Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

TSOMGO LAKE :
Tsongmo Lake has perhaps one of the most beautiful landscapes in Sikkim. On the Gangtok - Nathu La highway, Tsomgo Lake is situated at an altitude of 12,400 ft. Also known as Changu Lake, Tsongmo Lake is regarded as a very sacred lake by the local Buddhists and the Hindus. Tsomgo Lake extends to 1 km in length, deepens to 15 meters and happens to be oval in its shape. The lake is a residence to migratory birds and brahmini ducks. From winters up to mid-May, the lake remains frozen. In the summers, Tsomgo derives its placid waters from the melting snow of the mountains around.

BABA MANDIR :
Further 10kms from Tsongo Lake on the way to Nathu-la - Jelepla pass lays the legendary Baba Mandir at an altitude of over 13,000 feet. It was built in memory of a soldier in the 23rd Punjab Regiment, who drowned in a stream near the spot. Legend says he later appeared in a dream to one of his colleagues where he requested that a temple be built in his memory. Though long dead, people believe that the solider stands guard over them. It is said that his crisply ironed uniforms are mysteriously wrinkled at the end of the day. The most interesting part is that the Govt. has approved this legend and Harvajan Singh enjoys salary increment, promotion and even holydays. His salary is sent home to Punjab and once a year, he goes on leave to his home. A soldier of the regiment accompanies his uniform in the train to his hometown. People believe that by placing their slippers and a bottle of water here, they are cured of backaches. Overnight at the hotel.

Gangtok – Lachung (116 kms / 6 hrs)
After breakfast pick up from hotel at Gangtok & drive to Lachung (8,800 ft).

LACHUNG :
Lachung is about 110 kms from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, the road passes through some of the most beautiful but difficult terrain in sikkim full of picturesque waterfalls and great views. A Tibetan village with a unique local and traditional self-government body called the Zumsa, Lachung is situated at an altitude of 9000ft. Enroute visit Singhik View point, Seven Sister Water Fall, Naga Water Fall.

SINGHIK VIEW POINT:
Singhik is situated four kilometers away from Mangan towards the north. It has few shops on the roadside and a junior high school. The view point lies just on the road side from where is seen a very picturesque view of mount Silnoulchu. Right downwards from the viewpoint is seen the confluence of River Teesta and River Kanaka. Other surrounding places too look very beautiful from the viewpoint. A nice and clean guesthouse, suitable for a night halt is also available nearby. And arrive Lachung by evening. Dinner at hotel. Day 04:
Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion
After breakfast proceed to Yumthang Valley which is known as Valley of Flowers (11800 Ft / 3598 Mts / 25 Kms / 1 ½ hours one way).

YUMTHANG VALLEY:
Yumthang Valley is a beautiful valley situated in north Sikkim. It sits at an elevation of 3,500 meters above sea-level, so naturally home to many beautiful Himalayan flowers. It is rightfully called a valley of flowers; Yumthang Valley is extremely picturesque, with green slopes covered with trees, yaks grazing in the flower-spangled grassy plains below, and a river flowing right through the valley. The serene and tranquil air of the Valley cannot be described in words. A single visit there can leave the visitor in an enchanted state for weeks. On the way back, visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort. Overnight stay at Hotel.

DARJEELING :
Darjeeling the dream land of the East, it has been a popular hill station since the British period. The tourist flow to this place has been increasing day by day. Darjeeling is surrounded by lofty mountains. Except for the monsoon months and if weather is clear then the Kanchenjunga peak can be seen. The toy train coming from Siliguri is something which is liked by the elders and the children equally. The real fun in coming to Darjeeling is on the toy train. It takes six to seven hours to cover a distance of 82kms and the slow speed gives you enough time to watch and appreciate the beauty which nature has provided it. This train passes through the Forests, waterfalls, over deep valleys and through the mountains and tunnels. Overnight at the hotel.

Darjeeling Sightseeing

TIGER HILL :
Tiger Hill is the best point in Darjeeling the Tiger Hill is located about 11 km from Darjeeling, at an altitude of 2555 meters above the sea level. Tiger hill is popular spot for most spectacular views, four of world's highest mountains all 8000 meters high towering over us at an incredibly close distance present a sight one can never forget. On your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.

GHOOM MONASTERY :
Ghoom monastery, also spelt as Ghum is the popular name of the Sampten Choling Monastery or Yiga Choeling Monastery located at Ghum at an approximate elevation of 8,000 feet, 8 km from Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal, India. The monastery also contains images of Buddha`s disciples, namely Chenrezi and Chongapa. Ghoom monastery is considered to be one of the holiest monasteries as the renowned Tomo Geshe Rimpoche of Tibet personally blessed this place.

BATASIA LOOP :
Batasia Loop was commissioned in 1919 because it was an engineering requirement for the toy train to be able to handle a steep descent in this area. You won't even realize how the toy train actually descends by about 1,000-foot as it completes the loop through a large circular area and on a gentle slope and then crosses its own track near the beginning of the loop through a tunnel below. It is considered as one of the greatest engineering feats.

MOUNTAINEERING INSTITUTE :
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling, is the oldest mountaineering institute in the country and this institute has become the landmark in Darjeeling, the queen of the Himalaya and an important centre for major tourist attraction. This Institute has a rare collection of Hitler’s Telescope with which a visitor can watch the every spur of Mt. Kanchenjunga.

P.N. ZOOLOGICAL PARK :
This zoo in Darjeeling is the only dedicated zoo in the country and is internationally recognized because of conservation breeding of Snow Leopard and Red Panda. It was established on the 14th August 1958 under the Department of Education of the State for study and conservation of the Himalayan Fauna. On 21st November 1975, the zoo was dedicated by Shrimati Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India, to the memory of Shrimati Padmaja Naidu, former Governor of West Bengal.

TENZING ROCK :
Tenzing Sherpa climbed the Tenzing rock in the presence of Jawaharlal Nehru without taking any safety measures. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute conducts rock climbing courses on these rocks.

TIBETAN REFUGEE SELF HELP CENTRE - SUNDAY CLOSED
This complex was setup by the Tibetan refugees in Darjeeling on October 2, 1959 after they followed Dalai Lama and escaped from Tibet. The refugees adopted the principle of self help so that they could become self-independent and completely rehabilitate themselves in a foreign country, which they did gracefully.

TEA GARDEN - OUTER VIEW :
The tea plantation in Darjeeling started around 1852, when it was a thinly populated city. The first commercial tea gardens planted by the British, in the hill resort, included Tukvar, Steinthal and Aloobari tea estates. The seeds used at that time were produced in Government nurseries and the labor was imported from Nepal. By about 1866, Darjeeling had 39 tea gardens and an annual production of 21,000 kg of tea. At present, Touzi section deals with the control & supervision of all the tea gardens in the Darjeeling district.

ROPEWAY :
Darjeeling Ropeway is one of the popular tourist attractions in this lovely holiday destination. Also known as the Rangeet Valley Cable Car, the ropeway was started in 1968 by the Forest Development Department. Initially, it was set up to cater to the tea gardens at the valleys below which were not easily accessible. However, today, the cable cars at Ropeway have become an integral part of Darjeeling Tourism.

JAPANESE TEMPLE :
The Japanese Temple also known as the Japanese Pagoda is a popular tourist attraction of Darjeeling. The white architectural creation adds to its beauty. Locally known as Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple, it is situated close to the Peace pagoda in the town. A short drive from the centre of the town through shady hilly trails takes travelers to this temple. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight at the hotel

Day 03:
Darjeeling – Kalimpong (57 kms / 2 1/2 hrs) Sightseeing
After Breakfast transfer to Kalimpong (4,100 ft.). On arrival check-in to your hotel. Afternoon enjoy half day tour of Kalimpong .

Kalimpong :
Kalimpong has become an important tourist destination owing to its temperate climate and proximity to popular tourist locations in the region. It is famous for its flower market, especially the wide array of orchids. Other attractions include Buddhist monasteries including the Zang Dhok Palri Phodang - known for its rare Tibetan Buddhist scriptures, churches. Kalimpong is home to Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje - 17th Karmapa. Kalimpong is also known for its traditional handicrafts. Although not many travelers bother to visit Kalimpong, there's enough here to keep you occupied for a couple of days, and for the energetic there's some good trekking and river-rafting in the river Teesta.

MANGAL DHAM :
Mangal Dham, a temple located in the beautiful town of Kalimpong, was built in 1993. The temple was constructed by Shri Krishna Pranami, a Hindu sect and in the memory of late Guru Shri 108 Mangaldasji. Sprawling over an area of 2 acres of wooded land, this temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna.

DEOLO HILL :
Deolo Hill, located to the north-east of the town, is one of the two hills in between which the town of Kalimpong stands. From the top of this hill, tourists can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding villages of Relli valley and Teesta River along with the town of Kalimpong. In addition, there is a park located at the summit of this hill, which is constructed for recreational purposes.

DR GRAHAM HOME:
Dr Graham Home is located in Kalimpong, West Bengal, in the Himalayan foothills of North-East India. The Homes were founded in 1900 by The Rev. John Anderson Graham, a Scottish missionary (who, in 1931, was elected Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland) out of compassion and concern for the neglected Anglo Indian children of the Tea Gardens in the Dooars and Darjeeling Districts of NE India. At that time the school was known as St Andrew's Colonial Homes but was later renamed to Dr. Graham's Homes. Boarding and schooling and giving them the opportunity to support themselves and attain self respect, as they reach adulthood.

DURPIN DARA HILLS :
Durpin Dara is a famous hill in Kalimpong 5km. To the southwest looms the Durpin Dara hill, which is the highest point of the region. The name Durpin Dara means “Binocular Ridge”. As you stand on this lofty point and swivel on your feet, you will get a panoramic view of the whole Chola Range of Sikkim including the Jelep La Pass. You will also get a bird's eye view of the beautiful Teesta and Rangeet rivers, the rolling Peshoke and Lopchu tea estates.

FLOWER NURSERIES :
Flower Nurseries of Kalimpong is a gift of nature. Kalimpong is the only place where many commercial flower nurseries are situated. One should visit the beautiful laid out 'Universal Nursery' about 3 km from the town. If you are interested in Rose, Gerbera and Dahlias you can visit Standard Nursery at Chibo Busty, Kalimpong. Kalimpong produces 80% of India’s gladioli and is a significant orchid-growing area and it comes as no surprise that flowers are exported from here to many cities in northern India. Day 04:
Excursion to Lava & Loleygaon
After breakfast start for full day excursion to Lava & Loleygaon. Evening back to Kalimpong.

EXCURSION TO LAVA & LOLEYGAON :
Lava is situated at an altitude of 7200 feet, it is famous for its proximity to the Neora Valley National Park and its beautiful view of the Jelep La and Rechi La passes. Lava is about 32 km east of Kalimpong. Lava is also known for its leaches. During the rainy season, vegetation around the place gets covered with leaches.Common tourist places around Lava include Ratnarishi Gumpha, Neora Lake, Silviculture Research Centre, and Chhangey falls. Treks to the Neora valley starts from Lava. Apart from long treks across the valley, small treks are also possible in the region. Common treks include trek to Tiffin Dara, Aluabari etc. The small town is located at a distance of 12 km from Lava at an altitude of 5,500 ft. A spectacular view of the Himalayan snow will take you to a different world. Loleygaon offers panoramic view of the Kanchenjunga. The tranquility of the surrounding area remains unfazed by the increase in tourist influx. Nearby hilltop, Jhandi Dara offers beautiful views at sunrise. Overnight at the hotel

The unspoilt natural beauty, peaceful Chortens or Stupas, and old monasteries makes it a truly unique travelling experience. Visiting Banzakhri Falls, Handicraft Centre, Flower show, Dro-dul Chorten & Institute of Tibetology (maximum 3-4 hours).

BANZAKHRI FALLS :
Located en route to Ranka and 4 km away from Gangtok, the Ban Jhakri Falls Energy Park, lies amidst a lush green valley spread over two acres, surrounded by trees and a gushing mountain river. The Park has a shamanistic theme. Hence, while the location of the Park penetrating the forest spreads seeks to enhance the essence of the occult and the unknown, the place itself is littered with ethnic sculptures and figurines of the Jhakri culture.

HANDICRAFT CENTRE :
The Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom was founded in 1957, as Handloom and Handicrafts Centre of Sikkim. This is situated 500 meters from the central market of Gangtok. This organization has been established to conserve and pass around the art and craft skills of the artificers of Gangtok. In this centre, the visitors can see blankets, elegant hand-carven folding tables (Choktse), hand-loomed carpets with conventional themes, hand-painted masques, shawls, traditional paintings, wooden dolls and many other handicrafts.

COTTON INDUSTRY :
Set up in 1957 as a centre for both preservation and development of the traditional arts and crafts of Sikkim the institute is located about a kilometer from main Gangtok market. An emporium at the institute sells an array of local traditional items, which are very popular with tourists. Carpets, available in various sizes and designs, traditional bags and other utility items, foldable Choksis, tables carved in local design, wooden masks and handmade paper are some of the various things available for sale here.

FLOWER SHOW :
There is a permanent flower show in Gangtok called Flower Exhibition Center situated near White Hall / Ridge Park. The location is not very far from M. G. Marg, The exhibition area is a small green house where flowers are displayed according to the season.

DRO-DUL-CHORTEN :
Dro-dul Chorten is a stupa in Gangtok in the Indian state of Sikkim. The stupa was built by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. Inside this stupa, a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur relics (Holy Books) and other religious objects. Around the stupa are 108 Mani Lhakor or prayer wheels.The stupa is surrounded by Chorten Lakahang and Guru Lakhang, where two statues of Guru Rinpoche are present.

INSTITUTE OF TIBETOLOGY (maximum 3 - 4 hours) :
The foundation stone of Namgyal Institute of Tibetology was reposed by the fourteenth Dalai Lama on 10 February 1957. The late Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru has declared it open on 1 October 1958. It is a hoarded wealth of huge collection of rare Lepcha, Sanskrit and Tibetan manuscripts, ancient statues, and Thankas, which is colorful tapestries exploited in the Buddhist liturgy. Besides an appealing museum, the institute consists of more than 200 Buddhist icons and many other treasured objects of art. Presently, the institute is the famous worldwide centre for study of Buddhist philosophy and religion. The construction work of the institute is a noble memorial and an excellent example of the architecture of Sikkim. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06:
Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55kms one way from Gangtok city. (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing.)

TSOMGO LAKE :
Tsongmo Lake has perhaps one of the most beautiful landscapes in Sikkim. On the Gangtok - Nathu La highway, Tsomgo Lake is situated at an altitude of 12,400 ft. Also known as Changu Lake, Tsongmo Lake is regarded as a very sacred lake by the local Buddhists and the Hindus. Tsomgo Lake extends to 1 km in length, deepens to 15 meters and happens to be oval in its shape. The lake is a residence to migratory birds and brahmini ducks. From winters up to mid-May, the lake remains frozen. In the summers, Tsomgo derives its placid waters from the melting snow of the mountains around.

BABA MANDIR :
Further 10kms from Tsongo Lake on the way to Nathu-la - Jelepla pass lays the legendary Baba Mandir at an altitude of over 13,000 feet. It was built in memory of a soldier in the 23rd Punjab Regiment, who drowned in a stream near the spot. Legend says he later appeared in a dream to one of his colleagues where he requested that a temple be built in his memory. Though long dead, people believe that the solider stands guard over them. It is said that his crisply ironed uniforms are mysteriously wrinkled at the end of the day. The most interesting part is that the Govt. has approved this legend and Harvajan Singh enjoys salary increment, promotion and even holydays. His salary is sent home to Punjab and once a year, he goes on leave to his home. A soldier of the regiment accompanies his uniform in the train to his hometown. People believe that by placing their slippers and a bottle of water here, they are cured of backaches. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07:
Gangtok – NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport (125 kms / 4 hrs)
After breakfast Check-out from hotel on time and take the departure transfers to NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport for your onward journey.

Day 1 :
NJP Rly Stn / IXB Airport – Kalimpong (About 85 kms/3 hrs)
Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP station / IXB airport & transfer to Kalimpong – Kalimpong is a pretty hill station, with majestic Himalayas in the background and gently rolling hills around. It has a relaxed and unhurried air about it. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02:
Kalimpong – Gangtok (About 80 Kms /3 Hrs)
After early breakfast visit Mangal Dham, Deolo Hills, Dr. Graham’s Home, Durbin Dhara Hill & Flower Nurseries back to hotel. After lunch drive to Gangtok- “The Capital City of Sikkim”. On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03:
Gangtok (Trip to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir)
Start for a half day excursion trip of Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13200 ft) 52 kms from Gangtok city. Tsomgo Lake freezes completely during the winter and is much revered by the locals. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04:
Gangtok sight seeing – Pelling (132 Km / 5 hrs)
Start for a half day local city tour covering Rumtek Monastery, Dro-Dul Chorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, and Flower Show. After lunch drive to Pelling via Ravangla. On arrival check in to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Pelling.

Day 05:
Pelling sight seeing
After breakfast start for local sightseeing tour covering Rimbi Falls, Khangchendzonga falls, Khachoedpalri Wish Lake, Back to hotel for lunch. After lunch visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, Rabdantse View Point, Helipad Ground. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06:
Pelling - Darjeeling (About 118 Kms /4 hrs)
This morning drive to Darjeeling (7,100 ft.) is one of the most magnificent Hill Resorts in the World. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07:
Darjeeling (sight seeing)
Early Morning (at 4.00 am) drive to Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular Sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. Worlds third highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Ava Art Gallery and Japanese Temple. Evening free (walking tour of mall – suggested). Overnight at hotel.

Day 08:
Darjeeling – NJP Rly. Stn./IXB airport (About 90 kms / 3 hrs)
Morning free for packing & personal activities. Check out from hotel in time and take the departure transfer to NJP railway station / IXB airport for your onward journey.
